I’ve been obsessed with this trend of fisherman core for spring / summer…
There is something about oversized fisherman sweaters, rubber hunter boots, gingham shorts and little fishes printed on shirts that reminds me of summer time! It’s the perfect theme to dress for an east coast beach trip or time at the lake. Think, sipping on champagne, enjoying oysters and lobster rolls and being cozy at a beachside (or lakeside) fire. I just love it! So, I thought it would make for such a cute summer dinner party theme!
P.S. I threw in some cute fisherman core clothing items that would be fun to wear this summer at the end!
This seafood dinner party is so easy to put together. Start with a fisherman core esq color pallet – think blues, greens, yellow and pops of red! A blue table cloth topped with this white gauze table runner gives the sense of water and a fishing net without going overly themed. I added my favorite brown plates topped with these scalloped blue napkins that kind of reminded me of the water! And my favorite detail, these little sardine place cards!
To serve at this seafood dinner party, champagne of course! Paired with perhaps mini crab cakes, a seafood pasta (I’m thinking penne and lobster with vodka sauce!) and a lemon and arugula shrimp salad!
