It’s beginning to look like cocktail hour!

Happy Friday ya’ll! I am beyond excited for this weekend and upcoming week as we head to my favorite place on earth, Montana. Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays to celebrate, second to Christmas and my birthday. We always spend our days on the lake wake-surfing and enjoying the Montana big sky and end our days with a barbecue by the fire! It’s truly perfect! What better essential for a day like that than the perfect cocktail! I’ve teamed up with my friends at Sugarlands Distilling Company to create the perfect summer cocktail for you! I love how the moonshine is already pre-mixed so this cocktail is so simple to make, especially if you are heading out on the lake!

Made with Blockader’s Blackberry Moonshine, this blackberry mojito is a perfectly refreshing cocktail to enjoy all summer long and especially for your fourth of July festivities! I took a twist on a traditional mojito by adding pineapple juice instead of lime juice to give the cocktail a tropical feel. Pineapple and blackberries also pair so well together! You can easily make this recipe in a big batch and pour over the muddled mint and berries in each glass, just make sure to stir well!

Blackberry Mojito with Sugarlands

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 oz Blockader’s Blackberry Moonshine
  • 2 oz pineapple juice
  • Mint
  • Strawberries
  • Blackberries
  • Blueberries
  • 4 oz club soda
  • Ice

DIRECTIONS

  1. In each glass, muddle the mint with strawberries, blueberries and blackberries. Add the moonshine, pineapple juice. Mix well!
  2. Top with club soda and ice! Serve and enjoy!

Blockader’s Blackberry Moonshine blends the natural flavors of ripe berries with the floral fragrances of honeysuckle and lavender in this delicious spirit. You will experience a velvety mouthfeel and a long, nectarous finish in each sip. We highly recommend you mix this moonshine with your favorite citrus flavors such as, peach or plum juices for a sweet and refreshing cocktail. This moonshine pairs perfectly alongside your favorite port wine cheese or added to a splash to your champagne at brunch!
