I love a good themed dinner party and this one was so much fun to put together for a dear friends 30th birthday celebration. A little backstory as to why it is a space themed 30th birthday party… out of college the birthday girl started working for a rocket company based in Denver where her love or space began! It was so much fun taking this theme and making it classy for a 30th birthday dinner! Our birthday girl also has a girly side and loves pink so it made for the perfect combination of pink space theme!
The Invites:
I love still sending out invitations for parties and gatherings. It makes the event feel so personal and special. Plus, who doesn’t love receiving a fun piece of mail! The Decor:
On of my favorite parts of this whole dinner party was putting together the table setting. I wanted the entire span of the table to be filled with pink flowers! My friends at Ruffly Rose did the most amazing job filling three large vases with an abundance of flowers along with bud vases to place in between. I added these wooden cutout stars scattered onto the table. The party was on a friends rooftop so mood lighting was key so I added pink taper candles in tall hurricanes with these wooden bases throughout the floral arrangements! Pink linen napkins were tied with a pink silk bow to give an extra girly feel. Menus with a pink moon and stars printed at the top were set on each plate along with a larger wood cut out moon. And of course to tie in the theme, pink plates and glassware with a touch of gold in the flatware to compliment the gold chairs with pink cushions from Charming Chairs.
The Menu:
The birthday girls most favorite restaurant in Denver is Bar Dough so it was a perfect idea to pick up to-go food from there. Plus it made for easy hostessing for myself and the three other hosts of the birthday party! We chose a few pasta dishes, their AMAZING burrata and bread pairing, a few pizzas and salads. Near the table we set out the spread of food for the guests to get their food buffet style. We additionally had a small bar set up with sparkling rosé, mixed cocktails and wine.
All in all it was such a fun night under the stars celebrating our dear friends 30th birthday with good food, great drinks and a beautiful space themed table setting.
