Hey there, beautiful!
When I’m lucky enough to take a beach vacation, I’m always inspired to streamline my beauty routine. The humidity and sunshine always does wonders for my skin and hair, and I only want to highlight that glow, not cover it up! I’ll admit, I’m a complete beauty junkie, so if I’m minimizing my routine, I want my products to pack a punch. These are my essentials when packing a tropical travel bag!

HAIR

If I’m exposing my hair to sun and salt water, I like to try to infuse some extra hydration when I can. Some moisturizing shampoo and conditioner paired with a my absolute favorite Bumble & Bumble oil are all I need! For no-shampoo days, freshen up your roots with a dry shampoo and you’re good to go.
SUNSCREEN

If anything on this list is absolutely non-negotiable, it’s a good SPF. Do yourself a favor and protect your skin! You will be so glad you did in the long run. This sunscreen by Drunk Elephant is one that I’ve discovered recently, and I love that it’s packed with ingredients that not only protect my skin but benefit it as well. Slather this stuff on like it’s going out of style. I mean it!
FACE

Ahhh, Sunday Riley’s Juno oil. This little bottle of goodness is not so easy on the wallet, and I truly wish it didn’t feel so good. I’m addicted. Thankfully, just a drop or two goes a long way to giving your skin a boost of hydration and a lit-from-within glow. I pat this on my face morning and night and it makes me feel like a goddess!
MAC Fix+ is a mainstay in my cosmetic bag. It keeps my make-up where I want it, even when it’s hot and humid. It’s also wonderful and refreshing to spritz on throughout the day!
A tinted moisturizer and a highlighter are all I really need to give my complexion an enviable glow. Underneath, I layer on a touch of primer. The Too Faced Hangover primer is great – contrary to it’s name, though, it won’t help you ward off the margarita-induced headache! Complexion Rescue by BareMinerals is brand new, and I’m already a big fan. It’s got a sheer tint to even out your skintone and it’s packed with SPF 30. For a touch of highlighter, the NARS multiple sticks are easy to swipe on, blend, and go!
LIP

My favorite part of any make-up look is a good lipstick. Keep your lips smooth and hydrated with a good balm, like the tropical smelling Grown Alchemist watermelon + vanilla lip balm. For daytime, a nude pink lip ties your look together (like Urban Decay’s Native, shown above.) Kick it up at night with a punchy, bold pink – I love NARS Grace. This stuff is practically neon. That’s a good thing.
