Inspiration for Every Occasion

Sun-dried Tomato & Bacon Dip

November 2, 2015 · In: Fall Entertaining, Recipes

The perfect holiday recipe.

I hope everyone had a fabulous Halloween weekend! We spent the night catching up on American Horror Story and eating lots and lots of candy… Yesterday I started a pre-holiday cleanse, wish me luck! I am so excited it is November, though time seems to be flying so fast! With the holiday season among us, it is time to start planning out recipes and holiday parties. This sun-dried tomato bacon goat cheese recipe from Among the Colors is the perfect appetizer to bring to any holiday party! Packed with flavor, you will have people fighting over the bowl.

Sun-dried Tomato & Bacon Dip

Ingredients

  • 8 oz goat cheese, plan and soft.
  • 3 pieces of cooked bacon, crumbled.
  • 6 oz plain yogurt. I use sheep yogurt.
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes
  • handful of basil, tarragon and oregano.
  • salt and pepper to taste.

Directions

Let goat cheese get to room temperature. Place yogurt, goatcheese, herbs and bacon in a blender or food processor. I have a Vitamix, which works great. If you are not sure how strong your blender is, try a food processor. Mix on medium and then on high for about a minute. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with extra basil. Serve room temperature.

Serve with gluten free crackers. Laura’s two favorites featured here at Pecan Nut Thins, and .
