Fight the red light.
My darling photographer Amanda approached me with this party idea and her passion for the cause. Immediately I was more than willing to help style this shoot in order to show people not only how to host an awareness night but also to spread the awareness of this cause.

First off, whatever your “awareness” is {anything from sex-trafficing, to animal shelters, to preventing texting and driving, the list goes on} there is always cause to bring people together to talk about the issues. Now, don’t think this has to get super serious! Awareness can be positive things too such as promoting a new jewelry line or testing out a new product with a group of friends. Whatever the cause, it will bring people together.

When setting up for your awareness night keep everything colorful and airy to bring a positive vibe to the room. Fresh blooms and delicious treats are always a go to! Make sure to serve something to sip on {a cocktail perhaps?} or you can never go wrong with Pallegrinos. Light tons of candles to give a serious feel as well {you can designate them to one area for people to go to} so people remember the cause they are hear to learn about.

Amanda has a passion for making people aware of the issue of sex trafficking. Her goal is to plan an awareness night every other month here in Denver. The goal is that each awareness night she hosts she will invite a completely different group of women in hopes that they will then host there own – and the cycle continues. The more aware we are of the issue, to more can help put an end to it!

A great idea to incorporate into the evening is having a company provide products {such a jewelry} that also supports the cause. PURPOSE jewelry is handcrafted by survivors of modern-day slavery. 100% of the proceeds benefit International Sanctuary, a non profit that provides holistic care for young women rescued from sex trafficking. This gives a way for your guests to shop and bring something home to remember the night as well as helping the cause.
