Giving gifts to our neighbors! I don’t actually know them very well, only in passing do we say hello, but I always feel like it is a simple generous gesture to give the people that live next to you a little holiday treat! Sometimes I will just buy candy and put it in cute packaging but I love to try to bake something to give an excuse to start my holiday baking and give them something homemade. In the past I have done peppermint bark, cookies or homemade hot coco, but this year I wanted to do something a little different. I don’t remember the last time I had “Puppy Chow”, the chocolate and peanut butter covered mixed chow with powdered sugar on it. Boy, is it tasty though! I came across a similar recipe with a holiday twist and thought it would make a perfect gift to give to neighbors or friends. It is super simple to whip up and seriously is very addicting. A little secret, one of the jars did not make it out to the neighbors! Enjoy this recipe!

To package these to give to our neighbors I just used these simple closed jars and tied a festive ribbon around them. On the tags make sure to indicate that this recipe contains peanut butter just in case someone may have an alergy. On the back of the tags I wrote out all the ingredients!

Ingredients

1 box Chex Corn Cereal – 14 oz.
1 cup white chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/3 cup butter

2 cups powdered sugar
2 cups pretzel sticks
2 cups Christmas M&M’s

Directions

Pour Chex cereal into a large bowl and set aside.
In another bowl combine white chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Melt in the microwave on high heat for 1 minute. Stir and continue heating for another 30 seconds. Remove from microwave.
Pour chocolate mixture over the cereal and stir to evenly distribute.
In a gallon-sized ziploc bag pour in 2 cups of powdered sugar. Add the chocolate chex mix, seal and shake well.
Pour chex mix into a bowl, then add pretzels and m&ms. Mix well and serve.
