I can’t believe Christmas is only a few days away! I am so excited, mainly to see my fiancé on Friday who is spending his first Christmas with my family!
There are many things that my family does differently than his family for Christmas, both equally are the most wonderful times spent with family. We have a few traditions that we stick to! One being, we always open presents on Christmas morning! This is a tradition that the little kid in me always cherishes. I will never forget the feeling of the night before Christmas when you are so anxious to see what Santa brought you. Is it weird I still feel that way?? It brings me so much joy giving little gifts to my family and seeing them open them!
After presents we always make breakfast before my brother and I head out skiing. Now bare with me, this breakfast is probably the strangest thing ever, but don’t knock it until you try it. On Christmas morning I always make toast with peanut butter and cheesy scrambled eggs on top! So weird, but SO good!
Another tradition we always have is going on a Christmas Day adventure! Typically my brother and I will spend the day skiing, but sometimes my dad and I will go snowshoeing or take the dogs on a long walk. One year when we went snowshoeing we got lost for 2 hours making our snowshoe trop 4 hours long haha. Luckily my brothers German Shepard was with us!
