Inspiration for Every Occasion

Around Denver: Comida

March 22, 2017 · In: The Every Traveller

Growing up in Dallas, Texas, I have a love affair with queso and guacamole.

Featured Products

I am a bit of a Tex-Mex snob, nothing compares to a Rumbarita and bowl of queso from Mi Cocina in Highland Park Village. Or the Bob Armstrong queso at Matitos! The list goes on! Living in Denver the past almost five years, five years! So crazy! I have yet to come across any mind blowing tex-mex comparable food, until Comida at The Source.

The menu is simple, an array of tacos, gorditas, and more. They offer fresh guacamole, delicious queso, and have a pretty extensive cocktail menu. My favorite on the list is the watermelon jalapeño margarita! It’s the perfect amount of spice!

Since I am a Denver based blogger, I wanted to start highlighting more places around Denver apart of a “Travel Guide” for cities! Every place is either high on my list for delicious food, a great date night spot or the perfect place to host an event or celebratory dinner! Comida is the perfect spot for a celebratory dinner! Request a table on their patio and order a few bowls of queso and guac for the table to share. Everyone picks which tacos, tostadas or gordita’s they want which comes out on a big family style platter. I don’t recommend a party bigger than six, as the restaurant is small and family style tacos can get confusing for larger parties. I sure don’t want to miss out on a taco I ordered!

Stay tuned for more “Around Denver” posts monthly!
