Game of Thrones Cocktail

May 17, 2019 · In: Cocktail Hour, Recipes

The end has come.

I can’t believe Game of Thrones is coming to an end! What a whirlwind of a season it has been… In my opinion, way too short. There are still so many questions I have and I am so confused if they will cover everything in one last episode. Ugh. The misery haha. Of all the shows I have watched, and I have watched a lot, Game of Thrones has has me hooked from the very beginning. I am sad to see it go! But, excited to entertain some friends for the final episode this Sunday. Since I have already posted a post on the perfect Game of Thrones party spread I thought it was the perfect time to post a cocktail recipe for you to make! In the spirit of WTF just happened last episode, here is a Blood and Fire cocktail recipe. A take on a personal favorite (eh hm, New York Times Food!), the aperol sprits, with a little twist!

Blood and Fire Cocktail Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 oz grapefruit juice
  • 1 oz aperol
  • 4 oz prosecco
  • Splash of Pomegranate Juice
  • Grapefruit slices, for garnish
  • Castelvetrano Green Italian Olives, for garnish

DIRECTIONS

  1. Combine all ingredients, except the pomegranate juice, in a large glass and stir gently to combine. Divide between glasses over ice. Pour a splash of the pomegranate juice (to indicate blood over fire!). Enjoy!
