Must haves for The Every Hostess.
I always get asked what the must haves are when it comes to entertaining essentials. I rounded up 10 of my personal favorite things from serve ware, a good set of glasses, a neutral set of linen and more! I would say out of all of these items serve ware is a must! Find a set that is simple like the ones shown. They will go with any table setting!
- Cheese Knives – A must!! You can’t serve cheeses without. It also isn’t the best look when you have a regular knife out. Definitely something to invest in. There are plenty of affordable ones out there too!
- A Cheese Board – When serving said cheese, put it out on a pretty board of platter. It makes it look pretty and inviting. Plus, you can use that platter for other apps or even your dinner spread – it doesn’t just have to be a cheese platter.
- A good set of flatware – I love love these black ones. We got them for our wedding and they make every table setting feel very cool and neutral.
- Large serving platter – I love this one! It’s great to serve anything from meats, veggies, even pasta because there is a lip.
- Mini serving bowl – great for sauces, parmesan, olives, candy – whatever!
- Serving spoons – I hate when people forget to add serving spoons to the food! Make sure to always have them out, especially for meats!
- Neutral napkins – Goes with everything!
- Neutral table-runner – a great way to dress up a table setting.
- Large serving bowl – great for salads and pasta! Always serve your food in a serving dish, unless you plan to plate.
- Water Pitcher – a must! I hate when hosts don’t provide water during a dinner party – its a must. Having it in a pitcher allows for guests to refill when they need to so you don’t have to worry about it as the host.
