When it comes to being the every hostess there are a few key things you need to have in your home for entertaining. From a serving plate, cheese plate to wine glasses and more, here are 10 things the every hostess needs!
1. Serving Platter – A must! Whatever you are serving to your guests you always should present it on a plate for all to see your beautiful work!
2. Cocktail Napkins – Because a ring on your coffee table is a no no.
3. Water pitcher – It is always good to have accessible water on the table for your guests.
4. Small Serving Bowls – For the little things like parmesan, crackers, salt, etc.
5. Cheese Board – Every hostess needs a cheese board! Cheese and charcuterie are the perfect appetizers to serve before any dinner party.
6. Carafe – If you are serving wine it is good to put any red wine into a carafe so it can breathe. Plus it makes you look like a fancy hostess!
7. Wine Opener – Always have a good wine opener in your kitchen – trust me, they are worth the investment. There is nothing worse than cork in your bottle of wine!
8. Set of Napkins – There are tons of places to find cute napkins – Crate and Barrel, Sur La Table, West Elm, to name a few. It is so important to have a set on hand for any time you have a dinner party or guest over. There is nothing worse than handing out paper towels to guests!
9. Serving Spoons – Have a nice set of serving spoons on hand whether you are serving salad or a side. It not only looks pretty but the every hostess doesn’t need to be serving food to her guests with tongs!
10. Wine Glasses – My number one recommendation of something to invest in is a good set of wine glasses. I recommend six minimum. Have a cheaper set on hand for those nights things might get broken, but invest in a good brand for entertaining.
