For my 32nd birthday I hosted a low key BBQ at our home.
Putting this BBQ together ended up being a last minute effort due to a fun night out the night before in Denver and some last minute details that didn’t go as planned. I had ordered white roses for delivery on the day of this event however they did not arrive until the Monday after. Fortunately a dear friend and guest of the bbq had brought me a gorgeous bouquet of flowers from The Perfect Petal which turned out to be the perfect touch to my birthday bbq table setting. I put the individual flowers in these mixed antique vases. I love the way the pops of red complimented the neutral tones in the place settings.
On the menu we smoked pulled pork and oven roasted ribs. Two of my favorite things! We had a side of Mac and cheese along with a Caesar salad and fresh watermelon – the perfect bbq pairing. I served smoked queso along with chips and salsa, a birthday treat if I do say so. Over at the bar were with Spicy margaritas, frosé and lots and lots of wine.
On the table was a neutral pallet. I had woven placemats, these ceramic brown plates and white gauze napkins with wooden napkin rings. I’m in love with these Floral Society taper candles I had in wooden candle holders along with larger pillar candles on these ceramic plates. All new additions to my table ware collection that I fully plan on using for many table settings to come!
Although everything didn’t come together exactly how I would have liked it to, it was such a fun evening celebrating with friends!
