Tips for Making Camping Glamorous

We recently went camping and let me tell you,

…there is no reason you can’t make camping feel a little glamorous. I have been glamping many times as I am sure you have seen on the blog before. Camping is a different experience of a lot of manual labor but all in all it’s such a fun time to spend the night in the woods, cook food by the fire and drink lots of delicious cocktails. From my experience I thought it would be fun to share Tips for Making Camping Glamorous! Hostessing can go all the way to the campsite and these 11 tips will make you’re experience well worth it.

Pack an extra bottle of water specifically for getting ready for bed! Use it to brush your teeth / wash your face.
Bring your beauty routine in mini bottles. There’s no reason why you can’t do your full nightly beauty routine while camping so you feel refreshed in the morning. Put everything in little bottles to easily pack everything.
WIPEYS are a must! Use the face wipes when you wake up to give yourself a nice little face refresh or any moment you’re feeling “dirty”. The hand wipes are perfect for post using the bathroom or cleaning your hand before you eat (This helps you stay feeling “clean”). And use the surface wipes to wipe down any cooking tools and keep your food surfaces clean!
Bring a disposable table cloth! Cover the picnic table surface with a table cloth so your eating area is clean. Plus it make things look pretty.
Pack a citronella candle. It not only gets the mosquitos to go away, it gives your table setting a cozy mood.
Bring a small, compacted table for food prep. This allows for the campsite picnic table to be used for eating!
Pre make ingredients for a delicious cocktail! It not only makes for a fun activity to do while camping, but there’s no reason you can’t enjoy a spicy Margarita or aperol spritz while camping!
Leave at lease one ice bag still filled with ice in your cooler for said cocktails! That way the ice isn’t getting dirty.
Lay an old towel at your tent entrance. This way you have a spot to wipe off your shoes and leave them outside your tent to avoid unwanted dirt inside your tent. Additionally, lay a small rug or another towel inside your tent to collect any unwanted dirt to avoid it getting into your bed.
If you have the room… pack a pop up canopy. This is something we didn’t have and used a tarp tied to the trees instead – which worked great. But, the canopy would be a game changer. It allows for shade in your campsite and an area to gather if it’s raining!
Lastly, a must to bring is eye masks and face masks! I did these every morning to simply just make myself feel good and refreshed from sleeping in a tent all night!

Some other things that made our camping experience “glamorous”…

I pre made breakfast burritos which we wrapped in foil then frozen the night before we left to enjoy on our last morning! Simply put them on a grate above the fire to cook them for about 20-25 min.
