The moment I cried because a party was so beautiful.

If you know me, it’s surprising it took until this moment for me to cry over how stunning a party was. I’m a cryer! When I walked up to our rehearsal dinner (another amazing event by Greenwood Events), I lost it. I’ve imagined this dinner for so long and was in awe of how perfectly stunning it turned out. As I said in my last post, Greenwood Events is a DREAM team. I am truly forever grateful for everything they did to make my wedding weekend dreams come true!

Our lake house in Whitefish holds the most special place in my heart. I’ve spent my entire life at Whitefish Lake so what better place for us to host our rehearsal dinner. For years (before Jeremy even) I’ve always wanted to host a dinner party like this by the lake. My idea was a one long table and a family style dinner under cafe lights. Seeing this all come to life, thanks to Greenwood Events was honestly beyond my wildest dreams!

For the signature cocktails at this event we chose a whiskey mule made with a local whiskey from Glacier Distilling Company along with a Lemon Collins made with Limoncello and vodka from Spotted Bear spirits. An assortment of La Crema Wines and Barrymore Wine rosé were also available!

The color palette perfectly tied in the surroundings of the lake, being in Montana and our cabin, Copper Lodge. I love the mix of blue and copper in the table setting! Food gods, Bravo Catering, put together another amazing family style meal of Montana barbecue that melted in your mouth. My maid of honor, Jenny, and I still talk about the corn bread pudding… we’re desperate for the recipe!

One of my other favorite southern traditions that I brought into our wedding weekend was speeches at the rehearsal dinner. The father of the groom welcomes everyone to the dinner and then opens the floor to anyone who would like to speak. It was so heartfelt hearing our amazing friends say things about Jeremy and I. We are so close to each others friends and our family members! Jeremy ended the speeches with a speech himself letting everyone know how much we loved them and how grateful we were to have them in Montana!
