An easy dessert to whip up this NYE!
This post was sponsored by 34 Degrees Crisps, all opinions are my own.
This simple dessert using 34 Degrees Sweet Crisps is the perfect dessert to make for New Years Eve! I am so excited to introduce you guys to 34 Degrees Sweet Crisps, if you have not tried them they are going to change your dessert ideas for hosting in the best way possible. There are so many ways you can use them to serve, but these crisps dessert sandwiches are my favorite easy way to serve. Especially on New Years Eve! Using whipped cream, fun toppings and an array of flavored Sweet Crisps from vanilla, chocolate, cinnamon and sweet lemon, they are SO tasty! I love this idea to serve for a New Years Eve cocktail party. It’s the perfect dessert to bring out right before midnight!

Set the Scene:
Set up a little dessert area, perfect for counting down to midnight. Use fun New Years Eve display items like these NYE photo props, confetti and countdown candles in your dessert area to give the area a proper NYE theme. You can also use anything gold or silver you may on hand such as taper candle holders, a fun vase filled with white flowers, whatever you may have on hand. Make sure to have champagne out and ready along with champagne glasses or coupes.

Have a Dessert Display:
Set your dessert out on trays and/or a pedestal so guests can easily help themselves. Make sure to additionally have cocktail napkins – the sandwiches can get a little messy with the first bite!

Make the Dessert:
These are seriously SO easy to make and the best part is you can have fun with the toppings and mixing the flavors of crips together. My personal favorite combination is cinnamon and chocolate! Make sure to keep them in the fridge until right before you plan to serve them so the whipped cream doesn’t melt.

Crisps Dessert Sandwiches
INGREDIENTS
- An array of 34 Degrees Sweet Crisps – I chose chocolate, vanilla and cinnamon.
- Whipped Cream – you could also using frosting OR a creamy ice cream!
- Mini Chocolate Chips, mini marshmallows, ground cinnamon, sprinkles, etc. – you could also add on chocolate and caramel sauce!
DIRECTIONS
Lay out sets of two crisps. Add whipped cream on top of one of the crips – make sure not to add too much or the bite will be really messy! Top the whipped cream with the other sweet crisps (don’t forget to have fun with it and mix the sweet crisps flavors). Using two fingers, hold the crisps sandwich on the top and bottom over a plate or bowl and sprinkle the “toppings” around the whipped cream. Place the crisps on a plate in the fridge until you are ready to serve them!

Homemade Whipped Cream
If you’re feeling ambitious, this whipped cream recipe is perfect to make for these. It’s a little denser so the bite is a little less messy. Canned whipped cream works perfectly fine too!
INGREDIENTS
- 4 teaspoons water
- 1 teaspoon unflavored gelatin
- 1 cup (240 ml) cold heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cup (30 grams) powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
DIRECTIONS
- Add the water to a microwave safe bowl and sprinkle the unflavored gelatin on top. Allow to sit for a few minutes.
- Transfer the gelatin mixture to the microwave and microwave until the gelatin is fully dissolved, this will just take a few seconds. Stir the mixture, then set aside to cool.
- In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment, or in a large mixing bowl using an electric mixer, combine the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Whip the mixture until it starts to thicken and soft peaks form, then turn the mixer to low speed. Slowly pour in the gelatin mixture until well combined. Increase the mixer to medium speed and continue mixing until stiff peaks form.
- Pipe the whipped cream on your favorite dessert (or use it to frost it) and refrigerate your dessert until ready to serve.
