Inspiration for Every Occasion

A Swiss Chalet Soup Soiree

February 22, 2014 · In: Parties

UntitledStill cozying up next to a fire this time of year? We unfortunately are waiting for the next snow storm to hit, and with the time for our outdoor spring soiree’s being cut short we have come up with the perfect winter shindig.  So keep rocking your turtlenecks and keep your fireplace on for a “soup soiree” with your friends on the next snow day you have!

The Vibe: Fresh off the slopes into a Swiss chalet.

Eats: Have each guest bring a different soup or stew. You as the hostess make a big salad and provide bread, crackers and any other fixing.

Drink: Anything bubbly goes well with soup. Think champagne and beer.

Music: Spotify’s playlist Snow Day under “Moods”.

Decor: Faux fur blankets tossed on chairs or on your couch, pinecones scattered around the table (try spray painting them gold or silver), line the soup pots along the center of the table for
each guest to try, provide champagne flutes and beer mugs, use a plaid blanket as a table-cloth and have lots of candles along the table.

Dress: Plaid, ski sweaters, fashion sweat pants, anything cozy!

Favors: Have each guest provide you with the recipe of the soupe they are making before the party and make little booklets of all the recipes for each guest to take home.

Plaid Table Cloth // Faux Fur Blanket // New Belgium Beer // Gold Pine Cones // Votive Candles // Ralph Lauren Ski Sweater // Cauliflower Soup
