I love all the flavors of fall.
There is something that is almost comforting about “fall” cooking. Everything is warm and has so much bold flavor to it. My favorite thing to make in the fall are soups. I just discovered replacing regular noodles with zucchini noodles in a soup it by far the most delicious combination (and healthy!). This recipe for an Autumn Apple Cocktail encompasses all the fall flavors in a delicious cocktail. You can even try it with hot cider if it is a snowy day out. And it is the perfect cocktail to serve at a friendsgiving!
Ingredients
- ¼ cup sugar
- ¼ cup water
- 4 sprigs of fresh thyme
- 1 ounce bourbon
- 1 ounce applejack brandy
- 1 ounce fresh apple cider
- ½ ounce fresh lemon juice
- ½ ounce thyme simple syrup
- Dash Angostura bitters
