Spring fever!
Easter has always been one of my favorite times of the year. Not just because lent is over and I can finally indulge in the things I gave up… but also for bringing together family and friends for a delicious meal celebrating life. The weather is warm (usually) and you dress up in the prettiest spring dresses for church and brunch, it’s almost a picture perfect day. Plus I always venture home to Dallas to spend the weekend with my High School friends eating tons of Tex-Mex and picking up where we left off. This year for brunch I definitely will not be holding back on any dietary restrictions having spent the last 40 days with no sweets. Scones, chocolate, ice cream, i’m salivating just thinking about it.
Clearly I cannot wait for lent to be over.. Getting back on track, this year for easter brunch if you are not wanting to make a reservation for the hottest spot in town, do a simple brunch in your home or backyard. Pretty colors, flowers, and a delicious meal is all you need to make this Easter brunch as good as being in a restaurant. Serve Quiche, scones, a fruit melody, lox and bagels. A simple brunch that is sure to please, and do not forget the mimosa bar!
