The best form of camping.
I recently got to take a two night adventure outside of Vail to one of the most beautiful hidden spots of Collective Retreats thanks to Glamping Hub. From the moment we drove into 4 Eagle Ranch I was giddy in my seat. I grew up going to a hidden location in Montana every single summer so there is a love for the mountains in me. I guess you could say that is why I ended up in Colorado for school. There is something about the smell of mountain air that is cool and crisp and the sense of adventure with so much to explore. This spot felt like one of those magical moments. With my friend and photographer in tow, we weren’t to sure what we were getting ourselves into though knowing at least we wouldn’t be sleeping on the ground, whew. This 5-star retreat completely blew us away.

First stop when arriving was to settle into our tents. Now, I have been glamping before. What is at least expected when “glamping” is queen sized bed in a canvas tent with bedroom essentials. This tent my friends was nothing but extraordinary. The king sized bed caught my eye first, thinking about how dreamy my night sleep was going to be especially with the evenings being colder. Each detail in the room from the little accessories of vintage books and tennis racquets to a selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate equip with a tea kettle to the bathrobes and private bathroom made you feel like you just checked into a high end boutique hotel (but in the middle of nowhere!).

The view outside of our tents was this gorgeous landscape of mountains and fields. You truly felt like you were the only people there. After settling in and exploring a bit, (and of course taking photos…) we sat on the porch of our tent and enjoyed a glass of La Crema wine to soak in the view. This was one of those life moments that felt surreal. The staff, Jaime and Lisa (who were incredible and were so attentive) arranged for us to enjoy s’mores by the campfire after our BBQ in a box dinner to end the evening.

We did this last year and enjoyed it very much. Your photos look like ours, but you’re better dressed :-) Did you ride the horses?
