Inspired by the queen bee!
Well, mainly because I am obsessed with her album “Lemonade”… But who isn’t! Having absolutely nothing to do with Beyonce, other than the title of her album, I wanted to share a homemade lemonade recipe! As you all know, my go to cocktail is a vodka, soda and splash of lemonade! Well, when I am not feeling the alcohol, there is nothing more refreshing than a glass of lemonade. It has been in the 90’s here in Denver and let me tell you, a batch of this lemonade is the perfect way to cool off. This is one of the simplest recipes I have ever found! Making the simple syrup is SO easy. If you don’t have a tear kettle you can easily make this in a saucepan. Garnish with a cucumber and mint for an even more refreshing drink! And hey! If you feel like adding some vodka, no one is judging you over here!

Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup hot water
- 2 cups fresh lemon juice
- 1 gallon cold water
- 1 lemon, sliced
- Mint
- Cucumber (sliced), for garnish

Directions
In a 1 gallon container, place sugar and hot water, and stir until sugar dissolves. Add lemon juice and cold water to render 1 gallon. Stir until well mixed. Pour lemonade over glasses of ice, squeeze slice of lemon on top of each, and garnish with a sprig of mint and slice of cucumber.
