Hosting a Football Watching Party

October 20, 2016 · In: Fall Entertaining, Parties

I have a confession to make.

unspecified-2

I actually really don’t love watching football. I know! How can a girl from Texas who lives in Broncos country not love football?? I just don’t ya’ll. I find it very boring, let alone very very confusing. Do you know what I do love? The aspect of watching football. The snacks, oh the snacks! Drinking cider beer or fun cocktails and hanging out with friends on a Sunday. That, I can get down with.

When it comes to hosting a football watching party I am your expert and here to share some simple ways to throw a great event!

Swoozies has so many adorable football accessories for any viewing party. Depending on what town you’re in they should have your team’s (including colleges) gear. I love these Broncos Brew Drink Huggers! First, find a space in your home to lay out all the football viewing necessities aka snacks and booze. This field table runner is perfect to lay down on a table or counter to set everything out on. Pick a few snacks, popcorn, chips and salsa, etc. to set out. You can always ask your guests to bring a potluck item to contribute. Fill a bucket with ice for wine and beer and set out cups and straws for guests to help themselves to their own drinks throughout the game. Use mini pumpkins and a fall floral arrangement as decor to brighten up your table.

For the ladies (gents) who don’t love watching football either, set out board games to play or even a drinking game to help pass the time! Want more football party inspiration? Check out my tailgating party here!
