I noticed it so much in New York during Fashion Week, how girls would put layers under dresses or sleeves tops (…Even though I was wondering how on earth they were not sweating so much because of the heat!). Adding a simple blouse or tee under a piece makes your look perfect for fall. It is also a great way to transition those summer pieces (especially florals! I love florals for fall!) to fall.
I found this Reformation dress (sold out, similar here) on my trip to NYC! I was in desperate need of something a lighter layer for those hot days! Now that the weather is finally starting to cool down, I added this Vince blouse underneath! I love this look for a night out or lunch with the girls. This dress is a deep V so it is great for warmer weather (fully planning on wearing it on my next beach trip!). Now that it is cooler though adding a simple blouse or even a tee underneath makes it more of a classic day time look! I also LOVE this shade of blue! It falls into the pantone color of the year and is so pretty for fall! Lastly, I paired this look with these metallic loafers I got last year from Madewell. They are my favorite shoes I have purchased from Madewell! However, I HIGHLY recommend you wear socks with them! My feet were destroyed after walking the streets of NYC sock-less!
