Make and Mingle!
Recently becoming obsessed with Macarons as our favorite treat, I teamed up with another local Colorado blogger to host a macaron making class at Glaze Baum cakes in Denver, Colorado. J. Sorelle and I sought out to find somewhere that would share their macaron making process with a hands on making class. There is such a difference between sitting back and watching someone else create verses getting in the kitchen and creating yourself. Ergo, our idea behind Make and Mingle – the title of our event.

We wanted to create an event where people are able to learn to create something unqiue with a hands on creating experience while connecting with other people in Denver. Glaze was kind enough to open their kitchen to us and twenty guests along with their two pastry chefs to share their secrets behind this delectable dessert.

Each guest who purchased a ticket was treated to a cocktail of their choice, a box of a dozen macrons to take home along with a swag bag provided by Wayfair, J. Sorelle, The Every Hotess and First Snow. We decorated the space with bright blooms from Prema along with placemats and personalized aprons for each guest.

The kitchen was opened to anyone who wanted to dive right in with the Glaze pastry chefs, where one was teaching how to make the filling and one was teaching how to make the cookie of the macron. Don’t doubt that we weren’t back there mainly to sneak a bite of every cookie that came out of the oven!

Are you going to do this again?! Having the hardest time making macarons at home
Hi Marjorie, there is a possibility we may do it again! This business closed down so we are trying to find another macaron expert in Denver. Keep an eye out for an announcement on Facebook in the next couple of months for a possible event!
