Oh Joy!
My good friend Kalle is OB-sessed with her birthday to the point where it could turn into a month of celebrations. This year I decided it would be fun to throw a typical birthday themed party (keeping spring in mind). Balloons, cake, cocktails, and a delicious and fun menu of burgers and fries, the birthday celebrations were a success! The spring color theme was inspired by Targets new “Oh Joy” party collection, sooo cute, its a must buy!
A few fun tips for setting up for a birthday party:
1. Dont spend the money on helium balloons, blow them up yourself and hang them from the ceiling.
2. Use letters on top of the cake instead of candles (how adorable are these HOORAY letters from the Target “Oh Joy” collection?). Kalle had four birthday celebrations this week, so her blowing out another round of candles wasnt crucial. But if your birthday girl wants candles add them in right before you sing “happy birthday”.
3. Candy jars are everything. Scatter around mini boxes on the table that work as decor and a way for your guests to put their candy in. It’s a great way for guests to bring something extra home.
4. Keep the menu simple and fun! We had sliders, french fries in mason jars and a yummy salad. Simple but delicious.

The Every Hostess
