Bring a piece of Rio to your living room.
I don’t know about you but this olympics has been so much fun to watch. It seems like there has been SO much drama this year. From the skepticism of Rio and the zika virus to Ryan Lochte being robbed, Chinese swimmer Fu Yuanhui keeping a smile on our face with her goofiness, it’s been a world-win and kind of so much fun! While you are sitting at home viewing the continued fun, what better way to experience your own piece of Rio than with a Brazilian cocktail – the perfect olympic themed cocktail!

I have never had a Brazilian cocktail before, it was actually interesting looking up their signature cocktails. They love limes! This ‘Brazilian Lemonade’ stuck out to me though as something simple and refreshing to enjoy while sitting on the couch! The recipe is a little tedious, but makes for a delicious lime cocktail. I never came across anything that mentioned adding alcohol to this, but I highly recommend adding some white rum!

The condensed milk threw me off a little bit too! But think of it like a pina-colada! This cocktail is so delicious, I promise. You will feel like you are sitting in Brazil with all the Olympic athletes!
Ingredients
- 4 limes
- 1 cup sugar
- 6 cups cold water
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- White Rum
Directions
- Mix together the sugar and water very well.
- Wash the limes and cut off the ends and discard them. Cut the rest of the limes into 8 pieces.
- In a blender, combine half the limes and half of the mixed sugar water. Blend for about 8-10 seconds to mix. Pour the mixture into a pitcher over a strainer.
- Repeat the blender steps with the other half of the limes and water.
- Add the condensed milk to the mixture and stir. (Best to serve immediately!)
- In each glass add 1 part white rum over ice. Add the mixture, stir and serve!
