Valentines for Two at Home

Most of you will agree with us that Valentines Day is the hardest night to try to get a reservation. And there is nothing worse than trying to be on a romantic date in a packed restaurant where you cannot hear a word each other is saying. This Valentines, skip the cliché date night and stay in for the night. A great way to save money and be in a more intimate Valentines setting.

There’s nothing more romantic than dinner for two cooked by him (or you) or together!

For dinner, try homemade (or store-bought) sushi. We’ll admit it’s semi complicated to make, but with the right tools and sticky rice it makes for a fun date night activity. If you are not feeling adventurous in making sushi, Whole Foods has a great selection of traditional delicious rolls that come with all the sushi necessities you may need. For decor, keep it simple on the table, a few flowers and red napkins keep the table romantic.

Not into sushi? Try a romantic italian dinner. Red wine is a must and champagne for dessert. Try a traditional italian dish like Pasta Carbonara or Spaghetti and Meatballs. A Caprese Salad to start with and some delicious italian bread with dipping sauce. For dessert, you can’t go wrong with a Cannoli or Tiramisu. For table decor, stick with simple candles and roses on the table to give a romantic feel like you really are in Italy!
