Last month we ventured to Palm Springs to celebrate my best friends bachelorette!
To kick off the first night, we had a Mexican themed dinner party at the house! A chef came in to cook tacos, flautas and homemade guacamole along with endless margaritas! It was such a fun way to start off the weekend! Instead of doing the normal “bachelorette” decor, as the MOH I wanted to do something a little different. I had a local florist bring in bright colorful florals to style the dinner party table the first night and later use the flowers to decorate the house with. The florals that Arrangements Design did were SO stunning! I can’t get over how everything came together. We went with a bright pink and orange color palette with pops of yellow. I chose green napkins to compliment the greenery in the floral design and give the table more color. Hot pink and light pink plates sat on woven chargers. It was a Palm Springs dream!

I have been to Palm Springs before for the Alt Summit Conference a few years ago so had an idea what we were getting into in regards to the theme and feel of the weekend. It really is such a fun place to get together with you girls and I have the best memories of the way we celebrated the weekend! We rented a house in Palm Dessert, which I highly recommend doing. Not necessarily in Palm Dessert – Palm Springs is another great area to be in, however a lot of the homes on airbnb mentioned that outdoor noise had to stop at 9pm, which didn’t sound like fun. So we opted for Palm Dessert! It’s 30 minutes from Palm Springs, but truly does not feel that far. It’s also a beautiful area with so many gorgeous resorts and hotels around. I love that the houses in the Palm Springs/Palm Dessert area are all retro, mid century modern, and so colorful! It made for such a fun themed weekend!

This party is also the perfect inspiration for your cinco de mayo celebrations this weekend! Throw together a colorful, vibrant table using a few keys pieces and bright blooms!
