What a year!
The blog is officially 1 year old and I am beyond excited for everything that has happened this past year and more excited for what is to come! I wanted to share a few lessons and tips I have learned over the year with you. If you are wanting to start a blog there are so many learning lessons that come with it and hopefully my tips can help point you in the right direction!
1. Shooting outside when it is dumping snow is THE funnest thing ever!
2. Don’t be afraid to reach out to people. You will be AMAZED how many people are willing to work with you!

3. Start with a good platform. I am on WordPress and I have not had any complaints about this platform. I didn’t know this at first, but there is a difference between wordpress.com and .org. I started out at .com but when the site grew and I wanted to make changes I had to go through Blue Host to switch everything over. It was completely fine but definitely not the easiest process if you are bad at technology.
4. It never hurts to try. From attempting my own photography to coming up with some really interesting blog posts, there is definitley some obstacles I have over come with this blog. I have grown so much since day one – style wise and personally. I have definitley put myself out there more than I am comfortable with but I have learned so much about myself through that.
5. Creating your own job is the funnest thing ever. I feel so lucky to be doing what I love every day. It’s taken a lot of time to grow and I still have so much more growth to do in order to be as successful and I hope but I am so fortunate to be taking this project on as my own. It has it’s ups and downs but sticking to your schedule and making a plan every day is the best advice I can give. Also, do what you love! There should be nothing preventing you from that!
