It’s Oscar night!
Oscars are this Sunday and what a perfect way to get your friends together for one of Hollywood’s biggest nights. I am sure we all agree that it gets repetitive because the same four
movies are nominated for everything.. but it is still fun to see who wins while sipping on champagne and horderves. Make the night unforgettable for your guests with a fun viewing game, tons of champagne, gold decor and delicious bites!
The Vibe: A black tie Hollywood movie night meets a pajama glam.
Dress: Have each guest come in their finest pajamas! You want your guests to be comfortable. (but if you are feeling a little fancier have guests come in cocktail attire)
Eats: Movie theater snacks such as hot dogs, candy and popcorn. Set out a popcorn bar with add ins such as seasonings, nuts and chocolate m&m’s. Have other small bites to munch on such as pretzels and dipping sauce, nachos and caprese salad.
Drink: Champagne! Try this champagne cocktail, A Moet Red Carpet Glamor Cocktail from Aida Mollenkamp.
Decor: Gold a black glamor is the theme of the night. Do a DIY red carpet using red paper up your walkway into the entrance of your house. Black and gold pillows on your couches and chair to give the room a glamor feel. Set up a simple buffet with salty & sweet treats for guests to munch on before dinner and signature drinks. Use a black and white table-cloth and scatter around gold confetti. Do a mini DIY directors clap board to label each food option. Hang gold star garland from the wall or ceiling around the food stations. Garnish each champagne glass with gold stars.
Entertainment: During the show play Oscars bingo and have a prize for the winner (like champagne). Hold your own Oscars for your guests! Have ballots with options for “Best Dressed Woman” or “Best Commentary of the Night” for each guest to vote for each other on. At the end of the evening tally up the votes and put them into envelopes to announce them.
