A perfect ladies night.
Hosting a wine tasting is an easy and simple way to get your friends together. As the hostess, provide wine and pairings to go with the wine (you can always have each guest bring a different bottle of wine). Make sure you set up the tasting area where your guests can stand and easily taste the wines while eating. Focus on the tasting part of the wine so each guest leaves with some knowledge of wine. Here are a few “Tasting” tips:

Provide four (or more) four different types on red and white wines. We chose Mascato (sparkling wine), Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Pair each wine with a different cheese or appetizer. Have each guest taste the wine while eating the appetizer to bring out the flavors in the wine. Provide fixings around your cheese board such as crackers and grapes. Make sure you label the pairings so each guest knows which wine goes with which.
- Mascato – Raw Fish (Salmon Dip)
- Sauvignon Blanc – Goat or Sheep cheese
- Merlot – Gouda
- Cabernet Sauvignon – Sharp Cheddar
