Inspiration for Every Occasion

Champagne + Fromage

Champagne and fromage please!

If you haven’t been to the Truffle Table, I HIGHLY recommend it. It is by far one of my favorite restaurants in Denver. They have the most delicious selection of cheeses and meats along with an impressive array of wines. The space is small but creates a cozy atmosphere, perfect for a date night!

Lana perfectly created these invites to tie in the logo of Champagne + Fromage written as our names!

Jeremy and I with our best friend Gus who will be marrying us!

With my matron of honor, Mallory and maid of honor, Jenny!

To give you a little back story on why we chose the Truffle Table for our party, a year from the end of December Jeremy and I took a spur the moment holiday trop to Europe! As I am sure you well know by now, I am such a little traveller! I will take any chance I can get to explore! Jeremy had a “free” week off from work which opened the perfect opportunity to jump the pond!

Our first stop on our trip was in London! Fun fact, I actually lived in London for six weeks! It was one of the best experiences I have ever had and officially made London one of my favorite cites. So, you can only guess that I was very giddy to share London with Jeremy as this was his first time to Europe!  Our first day was a little rough. I do not recommend ever flying on the red eye to Europe. I think we slept all of three hours on the plane, landing in London at 7:00 am. Of course our hotel room wasn’t ready so we set out to explore! I was on an energy kick for the first four hours of our day which quickly disappeared. After some afternoon tea at Number Sixteen,(if you have the chance to stay in London I highly recommend any of the Firmdale Hotels!) we crawled into our hotel bed for a much deserved nap. On our second day, the alarm didn’t go off and we woke to the sun beginning to set at 3:00 pm! After a bit of a stir getting ourselves ready for our “half day” of site seeing, we ventured out to take on London! One of my favorite things to do in London is just walk. I could wander that city for hours, popping into cafes and little shops. So that is exactly what we did!

Our walk led us all the way to the London eye, which is totally worth doing! Afterwards, we made our way to Covent Garden and came across the exact pub I celebrated by 21st birthday at! After enjoying fries and beers, I found on Open Table a restaurant down the street called Champagne + Fromage. Naturally I jumped at the opportunity to go and we set out down the street! This cozy restaurant was the perfect atmosphere to enjoy a bottle of sparking rosé and delicious French fromage.

It’s funny in these moments experiencing it first hand for yourself. So many people talk about “blacking out” and not remembering a word anyone says, that was pretty much what happened. We were two of the six people in the restaurant so it couldn’t have been more intimate. Sitting in a cozy nook, in London, enjoying two of my favorite things, with my love. I was checking on how well my Instagram from the day did (blogger confession) and next thing I know Jeremy pushed a fork off of the table. I looked up to my beloved on one knee with the ring out. I was truly perfect. Oh! And after a few “no’s” because of the shock, I finally said yes!

So, when it came down to celebrating our engagement I knew we had to tie in this special moment! Hence why The Truffle Table was the perfect spot to celebrate with our friends and family, it completely reminded us of Champagne + Fromage! They were incredible to work with, creating the perfect array of food to serve along with wines and beer. Since we were ten months out from our wedding date we wanted to excite people by bringing a little bit of Montana into the evening. The cocktail napkins from Swoozies said “Meet Us In Montana” and we gave each guest a box of huckleberry taffy (a Montana staple) which had tags on them saying “From, Montana with Love” from Swoozies as well. It was such a perfect night!
