…at my favorite restaurant in the world.
I recently hosted one of my best friends bachelorette parties at our home in Punta Mita, Mexico. I’ve never fully hosted a bachelorette party in my own home, so it was a wonderful learning experience and so much fun! First of all, knowing the area we were in was helpful. As you all know we frequently are in Punta Mita so I have a list of all my favorite places and know how to spend the perfect day on the beach. That planning part of the weekend was easy! On the first evening the girls were there I planned a dinner party by the beach at my all time favorite restaurant in the world, Sufi. The food is incredible, I constantly crave the watermelon salad and tortilla soup! And, the atmosphere cant be beat. The chic restaurant overlooks the ocean and pier. It couldn’t be more perfect.

Our table sitting right on the beach made this dinner my all time favorite moment of the weekend. I kept the table decor simple with a palm leaf table runner, palm printed napkins and tons of candles. I had a welcome champagne cocktail for all the girls when we first arrived and planned out everything family style so it made it easy to try all the delicious things! I also planned out champagne along with rosé to go with our meal!

When it comes to planning a weekend like this there were a few things that I learned!
- Plan out everything beforehand but leave room for a change in plans. You never know exactly what people will be feeling up to every day (especially with a hangover), so definitely keep things open for changes.
- As the hostess you are the one that is the captain of the ship, be prepared for this job! You are the one everyone is going to ask what’s next, where ya’ll are going, etc. so be on top of it and put your hostess apron on all weekend!
- Lastly, take a few extra days before (if you can) to set things up and have a little r&r to yourself. I went down to Punta Mita a few days before to set out all the decor, plan our reservations and made sure everything was perfect for when the girls arrived. I also left time to go get a massage! This helped going into the weekend so everything was perfect and I was a relaxed hostess!
