DIY Holiday Hostess Gifts

I get asked a lot of some great ideas for holiday hostess gifts!

There are SO many things you can do! From baked goodies to wine, a boxed filled with treats and so much more. Life lesson #950 from my mother, is to never arrive to someones as a guest empty handed. It just makes a generous gesture on your part to the hostess as your appreciation for having them over! A simple candle, bottle of wine, etc. can all make great simple gifts. But, if you are wanting to do something bigger for a special hostess, I rounded up a few DIY ideas!

Baked Goods

This can be anywhere from cookies to quick breads, muffins, etc. There really is no specific thing! Make your favorite holiday treat and wrap it in a cute way! This is such a fun and simple DIY Holiday Hostess Gifts idea!

Holiday cocktail Kit

I love this idea! Put together a mini kit of your favorite holiday cocktail. You can put it all in a shaker (like above) or in a box! Get a mini bottle of the liquor, a small bottle of the mixer (you can also DIY this ingredients). Add shaker, cocktail glass, cocktail napkins, mixing stick, etc. (basically anything you need to make this cocktail!).

Cocktail Kit Recipe Idea:

Ingredients

Print out these directions on a card and add with the kit!

Directions

1. Chill 4 martini glasses. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, bring the sugar and ¼ cup water to a simmer. Remove from heat and let cool.
2. In a large pitcher, combine the sugar syrup with the vodka, juices, and Cointreau. Add 2 cups ice and stir until well chilled.
3. Strain the martinis into the chilled glasses; garnish each with a lime slice.

Hot Chocolate in a Mug

For the hot coco lovers :) There are many ways you can do this! one way is filling a mason jar mug with all your hot chocolate ingredients. You can also fill a cellophane bag with all the ingredients, tie with a bow and put into a hot chocolate mug, like above. An added extra? Add in a mini bottle of peppermint schnapps or Baileys!
