Styling your guest room 101.
We just had our friends visit us from New York this past weekend and stay in our home. Something I love more then entertaining is hosting guests overnight. There is something about making sure someone is comfortable in your home and having a guest room feel like a hotel room.I have to brag too, our guest room bed quite possibly might be the most comfortable bed anyone has stayed in. My mom found this pillow topper years ago for me for my college bed (yes, I had a queen pillow topper on my dorm bed…). It’s seriously a cloud! Other than having a comfortable bed, there are a few other ways to make your guest room as comfortable as possible and have your guest feeling like they are staying in a bed and breakfast.

Bathroom Essentials. Stocking the guest bathroom is important. Other than making sure your guests have towels, face cloths provide candles, lotion, soaps, shower essentials, q-tips and cotton swabs.

Bedding. Bedding is everything and having a cozy bed will make your guest feel so welcome. I love the hotel bedding from Restoration Hardware. The sheets are so soft and they make the bed look like a hotel room bed!
Fresh Flowers and a Welcome Note. Nothing says welcome to my home and the city you are in than fresh flowers and a welcome note. Make sure to express how happy you are to have them there! Chocolates and water are another great touch to add to the room.
Wifi Password. Let’s face it, everyones first go to when getting somewhere is connecting to wifi. Frame a print out of your login and password to put in the room so they can easily connect all their devices!
