Inspiration for Every Occasion

A Black & White Halloween

October 23, 2019 · In: Halloween Entertaining, Parties

A perfectly frightful dinner party setting.

As halloween creeps around the corner, the inspiration for this dinner party table setting could not be more perfect. A simple setting you can easily throw together using just a few additions to your normal tableware! Including Brian, the skeleton dinner party crasher!

For the centerpiece I chose to keep it simple with black taper candle holders paired with white candles. In addition, I added gold bud vases filled with bunny tail bunches in each one!

The inspiration for this setting started with these skeleton paper placemats. I found them at this adorable shop on S. Gaylord Street in Denver that is unfortunately closing but you can buy them here! They are such an easy addition to add to this black & white halloween table setting to give it a little bit of a spook. Make sure to place each skeleton slightly to the side of the plate so your guests can see them!

Use simple white dinner plates paired with black flatware for this setting to keep within the black & white halloween theme. I found these paper flatware holders to put on the plates at each setting as the place cards! So cute ya’ll! You can easily reuse them for another table setting whether it’s a simple dinner party or even for your thanksgiving table! If you know of a calligrapher have them fill in the names to make them look pretty – this should be easy for a calligrapher to do.

I added black wine glasses, well goblets really, that I had invested in a few years back just for this purposed. It’s fun to bring out special glassware for halloween! They are old but I linked similar styled below. Tie a black napkin in a knot and place at the top of each paper skull.

Serve red wine and a fun fall spread with a spooky twist! I linked some of my favorite recipes for halloween below! Happy haunting!
