4th of July Cocktail

July 2, 2019 · In: Cocktail Hour, Fourth of July, Recipes

What better way to celebrate the 4th than with a red, white and blue slushee cocktail!

A 4th of July party is not complete without a signature cocktail! Typically, I serve a signature cocktail at the beginning of a party with apps and expect guests to only want one or two and then will switch over to wine or beer. This 4th of July cocktail is the perfect signature cocktail to serve for your celebrations this week! A red, white and blue slushee that is so easy to make! The bottom portion of the cocktail is a little bit of cherry juice, topped with a frozen vodka lemonade mixture and pop rocks on top! It’s such a fun and festive cocktail!

A Red, White and Blue Slushee Cocktail

Serves: 1

INGREDIENTS

  • Maraschino Cherries
  • 1/2 cup Lemon Juice
  • 1/4 cup Simple Syrup
  • 8 cubes of ice (+blender)
  • 1/4 cup Vodka
  • Blue pop rocks (or bottle pop sugar if you cant find pop rocks – like I did! Haha)

DIRECTIONS

In a blender, add lemon juice, ice, simple syrup and vodka. Mix until blended! (Add more ice if needed to make it more slushee).

In the bottom of a glass add 2 tbs of maraschino cherry juice only, top with the lemonade slushee mix. Top off with pop rocks and an straw and serve!
